Session 2 begins on Tuesday, February 4th at 8:00AM PST in San Francisco and will end on Friday, February 7th at 11:30AM PST. Below you’ll find all the logistics information you’ll need for the week. Check flights to and from both San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland International Airport (OAK) for the best travel rates and times.
- If you are arriving by plane please plan your travel to arrive on Monday, February 3rd
- Plan to depart from San Francisco no earlier than 1:30PM PST on Friday, February 7th.
San Francisco is accessible by two airports: Oakland International Airport (OAK) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Both airports are accessible using public transpiration, Bay Area Public Transit (BART). Expect transportation from either airport to the hotel to be around 45 minutes, accounting for traffic and unexpected delays. Ground transportation to and from airports is not coordinated or paid for by REDF. You can find more information on transpiration to the hotel here.

Hop on the Pittsburg/Bay Point line BART towards Downtown San Francisco. Get out at the Powell Street Station Stop (only 10 stops from the airport) and head east on Market Street toward 4th Street, make a right and head three blocks South. You can’t miss the Virgin Hotels San Francisco entrance on 4th Street at Folsom Street.
Take the Oakland Airport – Coliseum line towards the Coliseum BART Station. Switch trains to the Dublin/Pleasanton – Daly City line and get out at Powell Street Station (only 6 stops) and head east on Market Street toward 4th Street, make a right and head three blocks South. You can’t miss the Virgin Hotels San Francisco entrance on 4th Street at Folsom Street.
It’s a quick trip on US-101 N. Just tell your Uber, Lyft or taxi driver you’re heading downtown to the Virgin Hotels San Francisco at 250 4th Street.

Head northwest on US-101 N towards San Francisco for 12 miles. Keep right at the fork to continue onto I-80 E and follow signs for Bay Bridge. Take Exit 2 for 4th Street, turn left onto Bryant Street, then turn left onto 3rd Street, a left onto Howard Street and then one more left onto 4th Street. You made it. Head north on Airport Drive and continue on to 98th Ave to take the Interstate 880 N ramp to Downtown/Oakland for 9 miles. Take the I-80 W exit towards San Francisco. Use the right 2 lanes to take Exit 2C for Fremont Street, and then take a left onto Howard Street. Take another left onto 4th Street. You made it. Before you book a flight: During Session 2 we will be using some Excel financial planning tools and data graphics. For folks who would like a refresher on how to use Excel and/or Data graphs, we will have a Learning Workshop from 1:00 – 5:00pm PST on Monday February 3rd. To attend the Learning Workshop, you must connect with Anastasia first – we want to make sure we are making the best use of your time.

Our hotel for the Accelerator Session 2 in San Francisco will be Virgin Hotels San Francisco. If you personally reached out to the previous hotel, Intercontinental Hotel, to extend your stay before or after the session Mette (email@example.com), who is managing the process, can help that transfer to the new location.
REDF will book all hotel needs for your time in San Francisco from Monday, February 3rd through Friday, February 7th. If you plan to extend your stay in San Francisco please call the hotel directly at 303.628.5400.

REDF has booked your hotel from Monday, February 3rd – Friday, February 7th. Check-in is at 3:00PM PST on Monday. When you check-in, please provide the front desk with your name and a valid form of ID. REDF has already paid for your hotel, but you will need to put down your own credit card for incidentals.
You will need to check-out Friday morning and leave your luggage with the concierge or bring it with you to Friday’s session. If you plan to arrive before the 3rd or stay after the 7th, please contact the hotel directly.
Learning Workshop Attendees: For those who will be attending the Learning Workshop Monday, February 3rd and reached out to us that you will be flying in early Sunday to attend the Monday workshop your accommodations will be prepared. Please contact Mette (firstname.lastname@example.org) to confirm if you are unsure or have any questions regarding the early accommodation.
Session Location – The Box
The first three days of the session will be held at The Box SF Meeting and Events Venue which is a short, 7 minute, walk from the hotel. The final day of the session (Friday) will be held at the Virgin Hotel.

Recommended Attire: The weather in San Francisco is overcast and can be breezy at times. It is recommended to dressing light layers as the temperature indoors and outdoors can vary. The temperature during the week will be between 50 – 58 degrees Celsius with a slight chance of rain toward the end of the week. We recommend to pack accordingly.
