Los Angeles Ecosystem

Los Angeles holds a special place in Redefine Alliance’s new strategy. LA is what we have identified as an “established ecosystem” — a region with a substantial volume of financially healthy ESEs, diversified capital, existing system assets, and a budding coalition of partners interested in collective action. That foundation is something we don’t take for granted, and it’s why LA is our first proving ground for this new ecosystem strategy.

Our goals for the LA ecosystem center on four key priorities:

  • Integrating Services — to Further Economic Power for Workers
  • Strengthening Procurement — to Increase Financial Sustainability of ESEs
  • Gaining Exposure — to Elevate the Visibility of ESEs and Drive Public Investment in the Sector
  • Investing in ESE & Inclusive Employer Pipeline — to Enhance the Durability of the Sector

In practice, these priorities means Redefine Alliance will serve as a convener and intermediary — activating the LA coalition for capital mobilization, supporting ESEs with contract readiness, and creating conditions for the ecosystem itself to grow sustainably. This includes leveraging major upcoming demand shocks like the 2026 World Cup and the 2028 Olympics as catalysts for long-term, multi-year contracting opportunities that benefit ESEs and our community members.
