Employer Program Steps To Apply

CVS

  1. Prior to applying with CVS, review the Discovering You document that provides tips on applying and for the interview.
  2. Navigate to the CVS Jobs and Careers page.
  3. Search for a job opening by keyword and/or location.
  4. Select a job from the list by clicking on it.
  5. Select the Apply Now link
  6. Candidates will be prompted to create an online profile to complete job application – this starts the application process.
  7. Upon completion of application you will be automatically redirected to the Virtual Job Tryout. Candidate applications are only visible upon completion of a Virtual Job Tryout.
  8. Candidate must answer on application question: Are you connected to a community based organization or something similar or Were you referred by a community based organization? Answer: LA:RISE (Make note of LA:RISE vs SE or WSC/YSC connection)
  9. Once an application is completed, candidate will receive a confirmation via email.
  10. Job Developer/Case Manager from WSC/YSC or SE can then email CVS contact directly to follow up on application with Job ID number and Applicant ID number. Allow at least 1-week before following up directly with CVS contact.
  11. Only email once a week on a Friday to contact Greg Schmidt cc Reena De Asis rdeasis@redf.org on requesting for an interview for a qualified LA:RISE program participant. Please keep in mind to only email once on a Friday as this was agreed upon with our employer partner.
  12. REDF national contact will then pass on information to local district leaders and facility manager to set-up an interview
  13. The interview does not guarantee a job placement and therefore, through the LA:RISE partnership, it is in our best interest to make sure the candidate is job-ready and confident/prepared during the interview.
  14. Keep track of candidates on an excel spreadsheet that you are assisting who have completed the CVS virtual job tryout and have completed an online application. Log when they applied and received a confirmation, when the follow up was sent via email to CVS for an interview, the interview date and if the candidate was offered the position. Submit log to Reena De Asis once a quarter.

Everytable

  1. There are 2 positions with Everytable. See job descriptions attached. Store Lead and Store Manager. Everytable’s mission is to transform the food system to make healthy food affordable and accessible in every community. NICE!
  2. Store Lead: To create an inspirational customer service experience; encompassing the Everytable brand, while maintaining all store operations and goals, resulting in driving sales and ensuring a profitable store.
  3. Store Manager: To create an inspirational customer service experience; encompassing the Everytable brand, while maintaining all store operations and goals, resulting in driving sales and ensuring a profitable store.

Baked LA

  1. There is 1 position with Baked LA for a part-time bakery custodian.
  2. The Vegan and Organic Wholesale Bakery is seeking a custodian to help Baked LA maintain a clean, safe, organized and well stocked workplace. The candidate will be responsible for the tidiness and organization of their warehouse and provide routine cleaning to two offices, a break area, commercial kitchen, and restroom. The candidate is required to help with kitchen deep cleanings and additional tasks as needed by management.

Managed by Q

  1. There is 1 position that is open and ongoing for Managed by Q for a Cleaning Operator.
  2. As a Managed by Q Cleaning Operator, the LA:RISE program participant if hired represents the company at their client’s workspaces by cleaning and tidying the entire office. The Operators use reason and good judgment to solve problems/issues as they arise and anticipate client needs by independently managing 1 – 4 locations to ensure excellent customer service.
