Workshop Description

So much of our work relies on relationships built on trust, with change happening as trust grows. How we communicate can either build or break that trust.

Dave Viotti from SMALLIFY, hosted an engaging session in which we learned about the strengths, preferences and growth areas in our communication styles and how to identify and adapt to the preferences of others to strengthen trust and relationships. This workshop is designed for staff who want to improve communication and build trust in relationships.

Specifically, we covered:

  • Five ways of being (acting) that can build or undermine trust
  • Five ways of communicating (saying) that can build or undermine trust
  • The strengths and limitations of different communication styles and when best to use them 
  • Individual communications strengths and growth areas 
  • Practical tips to strengthen our trust-building and communication capacity
